Our Success Story

1. Alisha’s Journey: From Setback to Success

Seven-year-old Alisha had to leave school after Class 1 due to family struggles. Her father works as a daily wage labourer, and her mother peels wires to support their small household.

When the Udayshaala Seva Trust team met her, we convinced her parents to enrol her in our learning centre. There, she received academic help, emotional guidance, and essential resources to restart her education.

Within a year, Alisha rejoined formal school in Class 2 and proudly secured 3rd rank in her class. Her journey proves that with the right support, every child can dream again and succeed.

2. Saniya’s Journey: From Struggle to Strength

Seventeen-year-old Saniya has faced loss, hardship, and long hours of exhausting work just to keep studying. After losing her grandmother — her greatest support — she lived in a cramped room with relatives, working after school stitching hooks on suits for just ₹80 a day.

Her life changed when she joined Udayshaala Seva Trust’s Sewing Training Centre. There, she learned complete garment stitching, moving from low-paid tasks to earning ₹400 a day with dignity.

Now, Saniya not only funds her own education but also walks confidently toward a self-reliant future — proof that skills can transform lives.

3. Struggles to Success – Anisa & Sana’s Journey

Class 12 students Anisa and Sana refused to let poverty stand in the way of their dreams. Anisa’s father runs a small grocery shop, while Sana’s father is a daily-wage painter. Both wanted to master tailoring — not just as a skill, but as a path to independence.

Through Udayshaala Seva Trust’s Tailoring Training Centre, they honed their craft while excelling academically. Anisa topped her school with 83.6%, and Sana scored an impressive 78.4%. We also guided them toward higher education — helping them appear for entrance exams at Jamia Millia Islamia and CUET.

Today, these young women stand as proud examples of how determination, skill, and the right support can turn struggles into stepping stones for success.

4. Abdullah’s Second Chance at Learning

Abdullah, a bright Class 7 student, had to drop out of school when his father’s irregular daily-wage earnings couldn’t cover expenses. He joined a madarsa, but frequent illness and lack of resources kept his dream of formal education out of reach.

During a Udayshaala Seva Trust community visit, we met Abdullah and were moved by his determination to study again. We enrolled him in our Education Centre, provided learning materials, and secured his re-admission to a nearby school.

Today, Abdullah attends school in the morning and our centre in the evenings — his smile proof that a little support can change a child’s future.

5. "From Child Labour to Classroom" Sofia, Saniya & Sofiyan’s Journey

During a community outreach in Seelampur, Delhi, our team found three siblings — Sofia (12), Saniya (11), and Sofiyan (10) — working in dangerous conditions, burning electrical wires to extract copper. Toxic fumes, cramped living conditions, and the absence of schooling had put their health and future at severe risk.

We acted immediately — rescuing them from child labour, enrolling them in a nearby MCD school, and providing complete education support including uniforms, bags, books, and stationery. Their parents received counselling on the dangers of child labour and the long-term benefits of education.

Today, the siblings attend school regularly, full of energy and enthusiasm. Their days are no longer spent inhaling toxic fumes, but in classrooms where dreams are taking shape.

6. Zifra & Ishara – A Twin Journey Towards Education

Eight-year-old twins Zifra and Ishara had never been to school. Living in Seelampur, Delhi, their parents struggled financially and could not afford their admission fees. During one of our Udayshaala Seva Trust outreach visits, we met the twins and spoke to their parents. We learned about the family’s situation and the children’s eagerness to study. With gentle counselling, we encouraged both the parents and the children to take the first step towards education. We first enrolled Zifra and Ishara in non-formal education classes at our learning centre to help them build basic reading and writing skills. Once they gained confidence, we successfully facilitated their admission into a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) school in Seelampur, placing both in Class 4. Today, Zifra and Ishara attend school every morning and come to our centre in the evenings for extra learning support. Their reading and writing skills have improved significantly, and they are now on a path filled with opportunity and hope.

7. Nashri – From Stripping Wires to Stitching Dreams

Nashri, a young woman from rural Uttar Pradesh, lost her father early and had to stop her education after 8th grade. To survive, her family moved to Delhi, where her mother worked stripping wires — a hazardous job causing cuts, burns, and breathing problems. Nashri soon joined her, but her health began to suffer.

During a Udayshaala Seva Trust visit, we heard her story and offered her a place in our sewing training centre. She accepted with determination, learning quickly and turning her skill into income. Now, Nashri stitches clothes independently, earning ₹200–₹400 daily, supporting her family, and walking confidently toward a brighter future.
